He steps in when he is needed. This is how former colleagues describe Simon Mou Skogberg.
And now he is needed at AAU Business School where as of 1 February he will head the administration.
Simon has 12 years of management experience in the education sector. Still, he approaches the task humbly when he sits down in the chair at Fibigerstræde 2.
Well-being in the department is the first thing he wants to focus on. Without it, an administration does not run smoothly.
"Well-being is always at the top of my list, as it is difficult to perform if you aren’t thriving and don’t have a good working environment. And this is true regardless of what you’re working on," says Simon Mou Skogberg.
More dialogue between academic and administrative staff
According to Simon, a good working environment requires that staff members have an understanding of each other as people and each other’s tasks.
It is thus also very important to him that the academic staff and administrative staff at AAUBS get to know each other even better.
This could be done, for example, during regular dialogue meetings where representatives for both academic and administrative staff members share views and concerns.
"Dialogue meetings can create space for professional differences and possible disagreements. Administrative and academic staff are dependent on each other, so it's about building bridges between them. It promotes both a good working environment and efficient completion of tasks," says Simon Mou Skogberg.
Competencies must come together
Mette Vinther Larsen, Head of Department is looking forward to exchanging ideas with Simon Mou Skogberg on the further development of AAU Business School.
She agrees that work is done best and most professionally when the various competencies work together.
"It is in community that we find the most valuable solutions for our students and partners. With Simon on board, I’m certain that we will boost the interaction between administrative and academic staff to an even higher level," says Mette Vinther Larsen.
