At Aalborg University Business School (AAUBS) there is great emphasis on the student's development and learning. These expectations are expressed in the knowledge, skills and competencies the student acquires throughout the different programmes and in the respective modules.
Study method - problem-based learning (PBL)
All bachelor’s and master’s programmes are anchored in a problem-based approach to learning (PBL), where the student’s abilities in identifying, analysing and presenting solutions to actual and concrete business challenges are supported through independent and team-based activities both in courses and project work. PBL is an integrated aspect of both projects and course activities, such as lectures, case work, exercises and business cooperation.
A supportive learning environment
We value interdisciplinary work, teamwork, individual learning, and progression of PBL competencies highly. A supportive learning environment ensures that our students, individually and in teams, gradually strengthen their ability to build and bring together practical and theoretically anchored competences in reflexive ways - and that they manage to argue and transform these competences into concrete solutions. The aim is to make sure that students’ curiosity, motivation and interest in the core disciplines have optimum possibilities to be succesful.
Best possible conditions for our students
At AAUBS we strive to create learning spaces – both physically and digitally that create the best possible conditions for our students. Study secretaries and the academic faculty collaborate closely with our students through study evaluations, task forces, study board work and other kinds of dialogues to ensure that the physical and social surroundings are inviting, inspiring and supportive to the individual student’s learning process.
