Here are some examples upon the themes Student Counsellor can guide you through:

  • Optimization of Group work
  • Syllabus
  • Events and arrangements
  • Questions about the study regulations
  • Complaints
  • Reference to others who can help you
  • A personal conversation
  • Planning of your time and study
  • other topics

Unenrolled students

If you are in doubt about what are the programs in our department, you can contact Student Counselor and get information about:

  • general information
  • admission requirements
  • change of your studies from one institution to another
  • social environment
  • academic content of a chosen program
  • advising the fitting program based on your interests
  • other questions you might have regarding our educational programs
  • redirection to a person in charg

University also provides Centralized Counselling which can answer your general questions about deadlines, procedures of your application. You can contact them by http://www.studievejledning.aau.dk/. However, if you have a specific question about the program, you are welcome to contact Alina.

Open house

Every spring we host an Open House event, where all unenrolled and enrolled students are invited to hear about the programs which are available at our department. The event is targeting people who are interested in taking their bachelor education. You will have an opportunity to meet study counsellors from different programs and hear about programs of your interests. You can find more information about the event by the following link: http://www.aabenthus.aau.dk/

The arrangement has the same concept as Open House. Though it targets students who are willing to take their Master degree at Aalborg University. You will have a chance to attend the fair where all Master programs are presented. You can talk to counselors from different educations of your interest and hopefully find out all answers you were looking for.

Every October there is an opportunity to try out university life for students of high-schools or other educational institutions. You will have 3 days at the campus, taking lectures and attending workshops prepared by professors and study counsellors in order to  get an insight of what is it like to take a bachelor in Economics at Aalborg University.

Other information:

Usually Student Counsellor can answer your question and if she can’t – she will redirect you to a person who can. Worth of noting that we receive many emails concerning topics which decentralized Student counsellor can not help you with. Such as:

- SU regulations - Contact SU office http://www.sukontor.aau.dk/
- Visa information - Contact International Office http://www.internationaltkontor.aau.dk/
-“Find me a job” or internship - Contact Career Center http://www.karriere.aau.dk
- Student Counsellor is not able to tell whether you will get admitted to one or another program. She can guide you whether you fulfill requirements, however the final decision about enrollment is made by Admission Committee which is gathered once all applicants applied.2
