Visit from Plymouth University

May 2-5, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Nikolaos Tzokas, and Associate Head for Teaching and Learning, Dr. Sue Kinsey from Plymouth University explored the possibilities for a broad cooperation with the department.

The business school at Plymouth University is internationally recognized and ranks well on the UK list of business schools. Plymouth University is very similar to Aalborg University, with their connection to the local business community and their education portfolio.

Exploring possibilities for cooperation

The visitors from Plymouth University had meetings with a wide range of staff from the department and they also meet with Dean Rasmus Antoft and Associate Dean Malene Gram. They had the opportunity to discuss various possibilities for cooperation and staff exchange with Head of Department, Birgitte Gregersen.

Professor Romero V. Turcan, who initiated the contact to Plymouth University, assisted them throughout the visit. He will also be part of the team following up on the visit.

Expectation of broad cooperation

It is expected that the cooperation will result in Interdisciplinary joint project applications, research and publications, collaboration with both staff and student exchange. A memorandum of understanding will be signed within the next months. The visit has also resulted in a possible return visit in the fall, where the Dean expects to participate.
