Purpose of the visit
The aim was to explore collaboration opportunities with Plymouth University in research, teaching and project applications areas. The visit followed up on an initial meeting held in Aalborg in the Spring Semester this year. Around fifteen meetings were held with Plymouth colleagues from several research centers, PhD school, MBA, fundraising, teaching and learning as well as with associate deans, heads of schools and departments.
Memorandum of Understanding
During the visit Rasmus Antoft and Nikolaos Tzokas signed a memorandum of understanding between the two faculties. A number of projects/activities have been identified such as:
- signing a mobility agreement between Plymouth University and AAU to facilitate MSc students, PhDs and staff exchange
- developing joint PhD supervision projects and PhD courses
- cooperating in joint research and project application activities in a number of areas such as Law and Criminality, Tourism/Marketing and Social Entrepreneurship
- sharing experience in developing ‘one-stop-shop’ access and collaborative space.
At the end of April next year, colleagues from Plymouth Business School will visit AAU to learn more about the AAU PBL model and its application in practice.
