On Sloth
	What does the name "Sloth" in "Esben Sloth Andersen" mean? The animalistic explanation: Picture of an animal and the molecular derivation of its family tree The catholic explanation: catholic statement based on St. Thomas The Danish explanation: More that two thirds of all Danes share a few family names ending with -sen (like Andersen). Partly for that reason many Danes add an extra family name (like Sloth) with no particular meaning. According to the Danish/Norwegian Jante "Law", it is not considered good taste to drop the -sen name. Therefore, many stick to their old-style double family names and do not apply American style abbreviations of their middle names. The "Ring of Slothdom" Some people are more interested in ambiguous concepts and names than me. On the web there has even been a "Ring of Slothdom" and a Slothish website.
